About Us

Set in Historic Yarmouth Port, Captain Bearse House, Circa 1721, has a place on the National Register of Historic Homes. This distinctive Bed and Breakfast captures an era of sophisticated early American travelers.

Our Captain John Bearse, a wealthy sea Captain, opened the third tavern in Yarmouth Port and provided lodging for the Pony Express.

Today, we invite you to breakfast and sleep in the very same rooms our colonial ancestors dined and entertained. An intimate Inn, Captain Bearse House offers unique Suites, all with Private Baths and some with adjoining Living Rooms. A sumptuous Breakfast is included daily.

Set beside the original 17th Century town center, you can amble around the green, walk to Gray's Beach, or bike ride on the Cape's finest Trails. Fine dining is close by and you are always welcome to sit in our Historic landscaped grounds with complimentary refreshments. The Sarah Claire Salon offers a quiet reading place and your breakfast can be enjoyed beside the East Parlor Fireplace.

Each Suite is equipped with Wireless Internet, extended Cable and DVD Services, Telephone and luxurious European Linens. Our Bed and Breakfast is Air Conditioned in the summer. In addition, there are working Fireplaces in each Guest Suite.

We invite you to spend your vacation with us on Olde King's Highway and experience the delights of a Historic Home with all the Modern Amenities.
